Hamilton to Halton — in-house crews Mon–Sat 7AM–7PM
Foundation repair crew excavating clay beside a brick Southern Ontario home and applying waterproofing membrane

Foundation repair & waterproofing for the house you already own

Clay, frost, and dead weeping tile are why Hamilton-to-Halton basements leak. We inject cracks, waterproof walls, and install pumps that still work when the power dies.

The job matches the wall — not a package

Pick the symptom. We will tell you if the cause is the crack, the water, or both.

What the work actually looks like

Signs the foundation is talking

Catching it this season is cheaper than catching it after the drywall comes off.

01
Wall cracks

Horizontal and stair-step cracks are movement. Vertical hairlines can wait — until they leak.

02
Basement leaks

One wet corner after rain is a path, not a vibe. Tile, a crack, or a window well.

03
Sticking doors

Doors and windows that suddenly jam are often the house racking, not humidity.

04
Bowing walls

Clay pushing inward. This is not a caulk job. Stabilize before it shears at the floor.

05
Uneven floors

Settlement or a wet crawl space. The floor is reporting the footing.

06
Ceiling gaps

Separations at wall-to-ceiling joints mean the box is moving. Get it measured.

Why Southern Ontario foundations fail

Not mystery. Clay, frost, and water that has nowhere to go.

01

Clay expansion

Halton and Hamilton clay swell wet and shrink dry. The wall takes the difference as a sideways load.

02

Freeze-thaw

Water in a crack freezes, opens the crack, thaws, and floods. Read how freeze-thaw wrecks concrete.

03

Frost adhesion

Frozen soil bonds to the wall and lifts. Garages and additions fail first. We repair adfreezing properly.

04

Dead tile

Original clay weeping tile silts in and collapses. Then the basement becomes the drain.

Five steps. No theatre.

Homeowners, not a review farm

Found a massive crack after the spring thaw. They came the next day, quoted fair, and fixed it that week. No circus.

1960s house, bowing walls. Carbon fiber plus waterproofing. Two years later — not a drop. Worth it.

Inspector flagged the foundation mid-sale. They documented the repair for the buyers and we closed. That paperwork mattered.

A proper membrane and weeping-tile system is designed around the life of the house. Paint-on coatings are not waterproofing. Interior systems last decades when the sump is maintained. Details: basement waterproofing.

Yes, if you also remove the water and soil pressure that opened them. Polyurethane or epoxy injection, carbon fiber, or steel bracing all work when matched to the crack. Crack repair methods.

Persistent moisture grows mold, rusts fasteners, wrecks finishes, and can hide structural movement. It also kills resale. Fix the path the water takes — do not just run a dehumidifier.

A correctly sized sump with a clear discharge and battery backup is one of the best flood defences for Southern Ontario clay lots. A pump with no backup fails the night the power dies. Sump installation.

Horizontal or stair-step cracks, leaking walls, sticking doors, sloping floors, gaps at the ceiling, and bowing basement walls. Call if it is widening or wet — not next spring.
